Packard Plant Ground Breaking Ceremony
Posted: 05/15/2017

There is good news from the Packard Plant and you are invited to the ground-breaking ceremony at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 16. It will be held outside at the Administration Building located at 1580 E Grand Blvd, Detroit, MI 48211. VIP/Packard parking will be in the parking lot across the street which is the old grocery store parking lot. Security will be on site and a map is attached. Fernando Palazuelo, Developer of the Packard Plant and CEO of Arte Express will be speaking, local dignitaries will be on hand as well as the Press to cover the start of this redevelopment that many thought would never happen. Motor City Packards is pleased to work with Arte Express to be a part of this historic day at the Packard Plant.
MCP Activities Director, Dave Dolby, is planning to bring his 1956 Packard Executive, the last new Packard model introduced and built in Detroit to display. While this is not an official Motor City Packards event, if the weather is good, we expect members might want to go and perhaps even bring their Packard home. There is no registration for this event, but if you are thinking about bringing your Packard or have questions please contact Dave Dolby at DavidADolby@comcast.net.
